Looked at some of your past episodes and will give the most recent podcast a try, as well as a few past ones. It looks like you've made some interesting choices in your double features.

New episode of Talk Without Rhythm is now live. This week we're continuing our anime month with a look at one of the venerable masters of the form: Hayao Miyazaki. Now, Miyazaki has a broad body of work, most of it pretty damn spectacular, but we narrowed our focus to two of our favorites: Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away.

Check it out.

So last night I got invited to show up on Dead Lantern's Splattercast. The film under discussion: Metalstorm: The Destruction of Jared-Syn. I tell ya folks: even while drinking heavily, this one was a slog.

Give 'er a listen

Happy Birthday America! The Cancer Man and I got together for another uber-Patriotic wankfest, covering The Adventures of the American Rabbit and The Patriot. 'Course, we had been drinking for 16 solid hours at the time of this recording. So...yeah.

This week on Talk Without Rhythm we answer the request of La Madre de El Goro and review The Breakfast Club and St. Elmo's Fire. It was a somewhat introspective conversation, with lots of commentary of how these films reflect our lives. Or something. It was very hot.

New episode of Talk Without Rhythm is live. This month I've turned the content decisions over to my esteemed co-host the Cancer Man. So for the first installment of "Cancer Man Awareness Month," he chose 1982's The Secret of NIMH and 1986's An American Tail. Seems the man has a thing for depressing/frightening children's animation from Don Bluth.

This episode we continue Cancer Man Awareness Month with two films the Cancer Man has used to sleaze his way into the panties of many a geek girl: 1987's The Princess Bride and 2007's Stardust.

Hey, just wanted to check back in and let you know I've become a fan of the podcast. Great stuff, and please pass my praise to Cancer Man.

Unfortunately, I'm VERY behind on episodes to your podcast, and the many others I subscript to. My smart phone broke and am unable to listen right now to anything other than on my computer, so it really limits the times I can listen. But fear not, I will catch up eventually.

Keep up the great work!

Well, after a long absence brought on by the Cancer Man not having an internet connection (Fuck you Time Warner!), Talk Without Rhythm has returned. The Cancer Man still has no internet access (FUCK YOU TIME WARNER!!!), but luckily Bryan Wolford of The Drunken Zombie Podcast came on board with two Edward Norton flicks: Spike Lee's 2002 "Joint" 25th Hour and David Fincher's seminal 1999 film Fight Club. This is a ramble-tastic episode, folks, and I hope it makes up for our absence.

We're still doing some pick-up episodes until The Cancer Man gets his internet sorted. The plan segments for Episode 81 are as follows: a review of David Lynch's Mulholland Dr with me and Shane of Australia; reviews of Kamikaze Girls and Psycho Gothic Lolita with me and artist Francesca Rowan; and a solo review of The Wall from The Cancer Man. We should be back to the regular format for episode 82.

This week, we are once again separated by the cruel whims of Time Warner! Undaunted by this ISP most foul, I got artist Francesca Rowan to come in and talk about Kamikaze Girls and Psycho Gothic Lolita. Then, I talked with Australia's Own Cerulgalactus about David Lynch's Mulholland Drive. Finally, the Cancer Man is flying solo when he reviews Pink Floyd's The Wall.

In this episode we are tackling sci-fi movies featuring a male protagonist who travels to another planet, becomes a messianic figure to the native populace, and then leads them against a technologically superior opponent while riding a massive beast. Sounds pretty specific, but 1984's Dune and 2009's Avatar certainly fit the bill.

Whelp, the forums are back and so are my cheap attempts to whore my wares to all interested (and uninterested) parties. This week we're kicking off Arnie April, a month-long tribute to the Austrian Oak himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger. Too bad we had to kick things off with two of his lesser films: 1984's Conan the Destroyer and 1985's Red Sonja.

Hang in there loyal Legion of TWoRP: there is greatness ahead!
