I don't know why but I rarely ever posted in here but this was always the first place I'd check when I came to the Mortuary. I just wanted to thank you for keeping this up and turning me on to so many TCM gems that I would have otherwise missed!

From the bottom of my heart....thanks, my man!

That means alot to me Grade.

In all honesty, I just fell into the footsteps of preceding members like KillaTomater, MichaelMyersBrother, et al.

I have missed a few beats, but guys like Paul, BlackWing, Mr. Black, and a lot of other dedicated members have always picked up the ball.

I'll miss it...

A great little thriller that had a HUGE influence on David Lynch.
LOVED this! Mesmerizing from the intro scene. Loved the soundtrack too. Mancini's title song ended up being the Creature Feature theme song!

I just found out that the boards are supposed to be shutting down. That's really too bad. I haven't posted on here much, but have visited in the past when I started finding out that Halloween TV schedules were listed. If anyone is looking for a great strictly horror board, you're more than welcome to be a regular at the Horror Drive Inn hosted by my friend Mark Seiber, one of the true statesmen of the genre, and writes reviews for Cemetery Dance. He has moderated boards in the past such as Gorezone and Shocklines. Great discussions about horror movies and books, and writers like myself also post often. And yes, there would be a welcome mat thrown out for TCM underground. Post as often as you like! We have no flame wars over there. It's the real deal -- a good old-fashioned horror message board. Here's the link, so please stop over:

This is way off, but I see on March 10th that BEAST FROM 20,000 FATHOMS is airing. That's a rarity and really cool. Also, check this out for March 22nd. I know Psych will generously repost these closer to the date, but anyone else think this is a great lineup? Wow, THE GIANT BEHEMOTH. Another classic. And THEM is probably the best cold war horror movie ever made. Psych, please keep posting. You're a lot more on top of these than I am, my friend. But I love looking at the future schedule for some great movie showings. Too bad it doesn't go up through October!

Thursday March 22nd TCM
9:15 AM Godzilla, King of the Monsters
10:45 AM The Magnetic Monster
12:15 PM The Giant Behemoth
1:45 PM X the Unknown
3:15 PM The H-man
4:45 PM Die, Monster Die
6:15 PM Them

This is kind of last minute, but there are a couple movies on today that might be of interest to the "oldies" crew.

Thanks for the reminder. There are some gems on in the next few weeks, including THE BEAST FROM 20,000 FATHOMS, THE GIANT BEHEMOTH and others. Also don't forget this weekend:

Saturday February 25th TCM
2:30 AM THEM!

Possibly the best cold-war horror film of them all.

This may be my last entry here before this board expires, so I figured I would try to include a few films in the coming week or so to carry over the transition. I took it through March 10th.

I compiled this list fast, so hopefully I didnt miss anything.

***Also note, that unlike earlier entries, if the start time is after midnight it will be placed in that actual date.

All times EST

Late tonight/early Sat. Morning.

LEONARD MALTIN REVIEW:

D: Carl Theodor Dreyer. Thorkild Roose, Lisbeth Movin, Sigrid Neiiendam, Preben Lerdorff, Anna Svierker. Strikingly composed drama about an old woman accused of being a witch and the curse that she puts on the pastor who is responsible for her burning. Tonight's line-up.

The first is a Jean Rollin film and the second is kind of a Rosemary's Baby rip-off. I'll be watching both.

Rollin's for the visual style and the second for the cast and camp appeal.

I Bury the Living is a fun flick! I have it on DVD, but I'll be recording this as a supplementary version.

I agree.

I grew up watching American Westerns, and Richard Boone played the "bad guy" in a lot of them. I found it refreshing to see him in this genre. He really was a great charachter actor.

Not sure what version they are showing today. The copy I have is o.k., but it is a public domain print on a budget DVD.

TCM Underground is always a delightful surprise. I never look at the schedule, and I rarely look at the TV guide these days, but it's nice to know that sometimes during the weekend I can stumble upon a uncut version of Bloodfreak without commercial interruption. The Gods shine upon me at times like this.
Ted Turner is a cunt...but he gets some brownie points for his TCM effort in general.

One of my faves. Count Zaroff is wicked, and the sets they used in the movie were left over from King Kong.
